2009 Fontanabianca Barbaresco Bordini DOCG (WS 93)

  • The “Bordini" vineyard of Nebbiolo for Barbaresco, with southern exposure, is located in the commune of Neive. Winemakers Aldo Pola and Bruno Ferro hand selected the finest Nebbiolo fruit from Bordini to produce this classic Barbaresco.

This is a full-bodied, complex red wine that brings intense floral perfume to the nose with hints of violets and spices, lands softly on the palate with red currants and plums, then brings a long and elegant finish. Appreciate it now, or cellar for 15-20 years.

“This red starts out round and silky, with fresh acidity driving the cherry, spice and light menthol flavors. Pure and balanced, with well-integrated tannins and a long aftertaste. Best from 2015 through 2027. 416 cases made”. …WS 93 Points

Pair with roast game, fowl, or aged cheese.

    Best served at 63-65 degrees.
