Paolo Zucchetto

Meet the Winemaker

La Terra

La Famiglia

The Zucchetto family established their winery in 1978 in Valdobbiadene County, in the heart of the Prosecco DOCG.  Paolo Zucchetto, son of the founder, began making classic Prosecco as a hobby for family friends.  Their quality wines quickly grew in recognition, and today, grandson Carlo continues the family tradition of winemaking excellence producing highly distinctive sparkling wines.

In their cellar, the art of winemaking is governed by a commitment to quality, research, and consumer health.  All grapes are handpicked and carefully harvested to avoid any crushing or bruising.  They are gently pressed and the juice fermented at cold temperatures to produce and preserve the original varietal aromas.  Each wine rests in stainless steel tanks during the cold season and is prepared for the second fermentation at the beginning of the spring to ensure freshness.  Their wines represent Prosecco grapes at their best, from the finest vineyards, and ripened under the Northern Italian sun.

Zucchetto Prosecco Brut PurFol DOCG - This vintage of Carlo's single vineyard designate from Prosecco's historical heartland Follo (or Fol as locals call this picturesque little town) is perhaps his best vintage yet. This elegant Brut is characterized by inviting aromas of citrus fruit, especially tangerine and grapefruit, and a note of rustic mint. The mouth is wide, creamy-full of fresh fruits, with a firm acidity that provides a crisp, lingering finish of lime, mineral and almond. The very low sugar residue reveals all the superb characteristics of the Glera grape.
