Nestled in the gentle rolling hills around Teramo, overlooking the Val Vibrata, the vineyards of Montepulciano, Trebbiano, Malvasia, and Passerina are caressed by the gentle breeze from the Adriatic and the Apennines. Corrado De Angelis Corvi established the winery in 2002 in this location that has proven to be idyllic for these classic vines of the Abruzzo.
Only a very small area within Abruzzo has earned the DOCG designation. In only ten years, Corrado has established a reputation for producing award winning Montepulciano d’Abruzzo DOCG Colline Teramane. Similarly, his Trebbiano d’Abruzzo and Cerasuolo d’Abruzzo have received broad acclaim.
The estate consists of 8 hectares (20 acres), of which 6 hectares are planted in Montepulciano d’Abruzzo and 2 hectares of Trebbiano, Malvasia, and Passerina. Corrado has embraced the traditional methods of organic farming, which has earned his wines the “Biologica” certification. All hand cultivated and harvested, only the finest clusters are selected and placed in small 20-kilogram bins prior to crush. Yields and vine density are tightly controlled to DOCG specifications. Corrado’s passion for his land and craft is perfectly expressed in his classic wines.
