Franco Pola and Ottvio Ferro founded Azienda Agricola Fontanabianca in 1969 in the hamlet of Bordini, near the commune of Neive. Today, their sons Aldo Pola and Bruno Ferro, along with their wives, carry on the traditions created by their fathers. Aldo and Bruno strive to capture the elegant qualities of the local Neive hills into their Barbaresco wines. While Aldo and Bruno have modernized the winery over the years, they have been successful in retaining their family traditions while creating prestigious wines recognized throughout the world.

Fontanabianca Barbaresco Bordini DOCG - The “Bordini" vineyard of Nebbiolo for Barbaresco, with southern exposure, is located in the commune of Neive. Winemakers Aldo Pola and Bruno Ferro hand selected the finest Nebbiolo fruit from Bordini to produce this classic Barbaresco. This is a full-bodied, complex red wine that brings intense floral perfume to the nose with hints of violets and spices, lands softly on the palate with red currants and plums, then brings a long and elegant finish. |
