2012 Sobrero Barolo Ciabot Tanasio DOCG (WE 90)

This legacy wine from the Sobrero Family is named after their original home in the vineyards. “Ciabot” means “small house” in Piedmontese dialect. The “Ciabot” was in the middle of nebbiolo vineyards and it was where they made the tools used in the vineyards.

Flavio Sobrero selects the finest fruit from three prestigious vineyards to make this classic Barolo. The wine is aged for 24 months in oak botti varying in size form 25 to 50 hectoliters prior to bottling.

Wine Enthusiast- "Ripe and juicy, this opens with aromas of dark berry, leather, underbrush and a whiff of game. The round, chewy palate doles out black cherry extract, clove, tobacco and star anise while meaty tannins provide the framework."

Enjoy this wine with roasted red meats, pot roast, and game.

Best enjoyed at 65 degrees in a large format glass.
